I can't believe there is snow on the ground - it's usually March that gives us that last blast of winter ... must be our delayed April Fool's joke from mother nature. Anyway, this week we're going to check out a 2007 wine that should warm your insides. You'll be thrilled to know that for the first time you will be able to listen to the Podcast of this review directly. I finally learned how to put a unique player onto each Podcast from now on - I am thrilled and so should you be. So without further ado I will leave you with this week's Podcast, or if you decide not to check out the new format you can read the tasting notes below ... I recommend the Podcast,of course.
The nose is big on cherry right from the get go – while in the mouth it’s more complex, but still with those cherries: black cherry with a little blackberry mixed in, there's also a bittersweet chocolate note and firm yet approachable tannins. Smooth and delicious, this one’s ready to go right now, but will also benefit from some ageing, say 5-plus years.
