When I was a kid I was a huge fan of Wayne Gretzky ... I have 4 of his rookie cards, but of course being a kid I played and bent the cards so they are worth little ... I often wonder if his rookie wine will be worth something, bet not. Anyway, here is a sophomore effort from Mr. Gretzky, and it sure does make for a nice patio wine.
I am thrilled to announce that as of February 24, 2009, each Podcast has its own unique player - so you can listen to whichever Podcast you want. So without further ado I will leave you with this week's Podcast, or if you decide not to check out the new format you can read the tasting notes below ... I recommend the Podcast, of course.
The Tasting Notes: A fruit driven unoaked Chardonnay that delivers pure refreshment. Smells are tropical, pineapple and apple; the palate delivers a quick zap of vanilla to the tongue with freen apple zestyness and nice citrus acidity. Price: $13.95 – Rating: *** ½

I actually love most of Wayne's wines. Especially the white. As a hockey fan, I decided to try them - but as a wine fan, I keep going back!
(Cheesy - but true).
I just joined their facebook fan page too - because they'll be posting updates on signing sessions and stuff. Would be great to have Wayne (or Walter) sign a bottle!
